Glass and silverclay pendant finally finished

I’m still trying to organise my workspace, I can hear my Mum saying ” squeezing a quart into a pint pot” so I had a bit of a clear out last week and found a couple of pendants that I started about 3 years ago. At the time I was experimenting with combining silverclay and glass / porcelain. I decided to finish these pieces, all they needed was a bit of patina on the sliver work.

This one is a glass potmelt with silverclay syringe work and handmade bail, there is a cubic zirconia set in the silverclay.

I’m really pleased with how this has turned out, it’s just as I’d visualised it. I think this one is a keeper but there will be more to follow I’m sure.

This pendant is porcelain, handpainted with lustres, and silverclay. Notice how the silver has changed the lustre colour from pink to golden brown. I may have a go at refiring another coat of lustre, so come back to see how it turned out. Now I think I’ll go and order some silverclay.
