A Japanese influence, and 52 little things 3 – 7

There’s been a lot of talk in this household about Japan lately, and I have a bit of a thing for the Japanese aesthetic of Wabi Sabi so this is what I’ve been making the past few days.

I love the colour of the sake bottle, this one is going in my Etsy shop.

Wabi sabi pendantsThese little  mixed metal pendants are part of  ’52 little things’ series, this wabi sabi style is something I love to do as I enjoy working with  texture. They are copper and silver, usually I give them a patina with liver of sulfur but I thought I’d try out my new metal inks to see how they  look, I think they will look great on a coloured leather cord. Some do look like they have just been dug up, and they will change with age so I think they are wabi sabi but I’d love to read your thoughts on them.
