London – Chihuly glass exhibit

I’ve been in London for a couple of half days, it’s amazing what we managed to fit in, but the highlight for me was seeing the exhibition of Dale Chihuly works at the Halcyon gallery, oh to win the Euro millions!

The exhibition is entitled ‘Beyond the object’ and just look at how light gives another dimension to his work ( this was something that excited me about working with glass from my very first glass course, and is something  that’s not possible in other media). Look at the colour and shadows cast on the wall, this is something the will change constantly with the light.

I was like a kid in a sweet shop, it’s one thing looking at Chihuly’s work in photo’s but it’s awesome to see it in the flesh and well worth the visit if you are in London it’s on until 21st April. Click on the link above to find out more, click through the photos, they are totally amazing.
