Oban harbour at sunset
It’s been great to escape the building work and head off on an adventure for a week. This holiday was for OH’s 60th, and his retirement, so we planned something we have wanted to do for a long time, we went to visit the Inner Hebrides. Our base was a lovely apartment overlooking Oban harbour, you could lie in bed and watch the boats coming and going, and the sun set.
Oban is the Scottish seafood capital, there are so many seafood restaurants worth a try, personally I loved the cabin on the quayside, and it was always busy, a sure sign of good fresh seafood. As was EE-Usk , an amazing eatery, so good we went back twice, and I sampled my first oyster.
We had some great trips to the Isles but they are worthy of their own posts, more soon!
