What I’ve been working on this week

Here’s what I’ve been painting this week, the photo’s aren’t so good I’m afraid. It’s so difficult to get a good photo of lustres and porcelain as they are white and very shiny. The hares legs aren’t white, that’s the table reflecting up, if you use a coloured background it is worse as you get colour reflecting.

I love the goldcrest, it’s a new design from Kiln Fired Art.

    These are gorgeous especially the one with the peacock feather. One of the tips I was given when photographing products is to have 2 lights aimed behind the object and then 2 in front. I’ve been playing around with my setup and have ended up with 1 light – aimed correctly you should get a fairly white background. Also have a play with your camera setting and have the white balance on auto.
