In honour of World Sparrow Day

Today is World Sparrow Day!  I love sparrows and dunnocks, (which used to be called hedge sparrows), so I’m painting a house sparrow today.

This vase has had only one firing so far, I’ll show you the finished result in my next post. The painting will be completed in two firings, traditionally it would be more but I use water based enamels first then I can go over with oil based enamels, cutting out a firing.
