Firstly I want to thank everyone who has popped over from Grow Your Blog hop, it’s lovely to meet you and read your blogs, I’ve added quite a lot of new blogs to my Bloglovin list so I can add to my Sunday morning enjoyment.
Well it’s been quite a hectic week this week, so much to do making new stock for shops and the pop up gallery, I’ve 6 weeks to make all my stock for the change around, the theme of the next exhibit is ‘Wildlife’ so I will enjoy making for that.
I had some visitors in the garden that stopped me working but it’s really wonderful to observe these lovely little birds and I really can’t wait to get painting them.
I’ve been making some tribal/ ethnic / boho black porcelain jewellery components which have had a makeover and the detail highlighted with satin metallic overglazes.
I’m also trying to get to grips with Excel, making an inventory to keep track of everything, at least it will help me to know where everything is at any one time.
Well I better get back to work photographing and listing for my shop, I’m sitting here at my computer wondering where has January gone?
January is my month to play with new ideas and put plans into action. I’ve been spending my time playing with clays and glazes and now I’m in the process of listing ceramic bead sets and pendants for jewellery making in my Etsy shop.
I love these bone china beads ,this glaze looks great on them. Bone china is very strong, when I did my C&G course I did some very scientific tests ( LOL) throwing porcelain and bone china, not on a wheel, I mean throwing at a wall! The bone china bounced off undamaged.
These beads look great with the black bisque stoneware beads.
I enjoy trying different clay and glaze combinations the end results can look quite different. Also I like mixing the beads together for a unique look, and it’s great for jewellery makers as you don’t have to buy a whole string of one bead type.

And as Valentine’s Day is not far off I’ve listed a selection of heart charms, as well as earring pairs and pendants.
I’ve a lot more handmade bead sets to list in my Etsy shop, but next week I want to have some fun with glass painting and etching so I should have something different to show you then.
