my name is Jill and I’m an artist, I work mainly with what I call ‘kiln fired art’ techniques such as overglaze painting, or china painting as it used to be called, lustre techniques, and fused glass. But a thirst for learning new techniques, and the thought ‘I wonder what would happen if…………’ leads me to explore using all kinds of media, including watercolours, silver smithing, copper enamelling, and jewellery making. I also have a passion for cooking, especially healthy eating.

I hope you find something to interest you here, I shall try to post at least once a week, and show you what I’m up to. As an artist trying to make a living I don’t always have a lot of time to spare.

I’ve been blogging for a while now and so I decided to reassess my blog so I’m participating in WordPress Blogging 201

I have 3 new goals for my blog

  1. Spend time each week reading and replying to my followers, and blogs I follow.
  2.  To gain more readers and interact with them.
  3. Define how I want my blog to look and give my readers what they want to read about.

Hi! You have a lovely blog and I love your work and your tutorials! I recently started a blog on my pottery studio, and hope to learn more about glass fusing in the near future. I will be looking forward to reading more on your blog!
